These Terms of Service govern your use of JohnB.io (the "Site"), including all tools, courses, and content available on it. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

1. Who we are

JohnB.io is a personal project operated by John Bowman, based in the United Kingdom. It provides free AI tools, educational resources, and course content. Contact: hello@johnb.io

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful personal and professional purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content at scale
• Submit content that is offensive, harmful, or violates third-party rights
• Impersonate any person or entity

3. AI tools and outputs

The Site provides AI-powered tools that generate content using third-party AI APIs (including Anthropic Claude and others). You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading
• Outputs do not constitute professional, legal, financial, or medical advice
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it
• You must not use AI tools to generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content

4. User accounts

Some features, including the AI course and progress tracking, require you to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Course and certificate

The AI course and associated certificate are provided free of charge for personal and educational use. The certificate confirms completion of the course and exam on the Site only. It is not a regulated or accredited qualification. You may share your certificate but must not alter or misrepresent it.

6. Intellectual property

All original content on the Site — including text, design, code, and course materials — is owned by John Bowman or licensed to him. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without prior written permission. AI-generated outputs produced by tools on the Site may be used freely by you for your own purposes.

7. Third-party services

The Site uses third-party services including Google Firebase (authentication and data storage), Cloudflare (infrastructure), and various AI API providers. Your use of the Site is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Site will be available at all times, free from errors, or secure from all threats. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of any content or AI outputs.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, John Bowman shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed £100.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
